Dominican American Chamber of Commerce Designates Marte Martínez as Honorary Member

Santo Domingo, DR. – Jaime Marte Martínez, President of the National Drug Council (CND), was designated today as an honorary member of the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce to develop joint preventive strategies for the benefit of Dominicans residing in the United States and the Dominican Republic.

By the Board of Directors

The designation of Marte Martínez was approved by the Board of Directors of the Chamber, headquartered in New York, United States, and presented by Manuel Lebrón, President, and Robert Guzmán, Secretary General, who highlighted the qualities of the CND leader throughout his public service career.

During the designation ceremony held at the headquarters of the anti-drug policy design organization, Marte Martínez described the opportunity to help the diaspora by conveying the message of healthy living through institutions that support Dominicans working for the country’s benefit as impactful.

An Honor

For Lebrón, President of the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce, the inclusion of CND’s Marte Martínez in the organization is a significant addition, as it will help expand the plans and programs currently being developed in the country.

It is worth noting that during a visit to New York, Marte Martínez appointed Lebrón as an honorary advisor to the institution, who has since been involved in prevention efforts for children, adolescents, young people, and adults.
